Online shopping has become realitively easy. There are a couple of ways we can handle it.

First option, and almost the default option is SHOPIFY. This online ecommerce platform began life in 2004 to enable it's founders to sell snowboards online. Now it is one of the world's most used, and trusted, online shopping platforms. You have to pay a monthly subscription, you'll probably also have to buy a template, and they take a percentage of all transactions through the platform. The real benefit is the integration with things like Inventory Control with accounting software (like Xero), complex shipping capabilities and the reliability of a massive platform being used by between 3M - 7M stores (depending on which metric you look at).

The other option is to build your own store. You will have a monthly cost for maintaining a payment gateway with the banking world, you will have to be really onto it with data storage (we are!), but you won't get hit with transaction fees.

Both options have their positives and negatives and the best option really depends on the end goals, integration, volume and how involved you want to be managing the online store.

Shopify is a fast way to get an online shop started. The hardest bit initially is configuring it to suit your needs, fit your branding, and get the first set of products listed.

It's not about Good, Fast or Cheap. It's about getting the foundations perfect for launch, and building the base of your Shopify shop to a high level of quality and usability. Sure tweaks can be done later, but better to have a clear roadmap and lay the foundations properly and as you intend to continue.

We can handle all of the technical set up for you, find you the right template, get the branding aligned, upload some policy documents (terms & conditions, shipping) and populate the store with the first 5 products, all for $3750 (+gst). We built our very first online shopping experience in 2006. It was a fully functioning e-commere platform built into a website for a successful boutique winery. It was self contained and featured secure credit card payments, a secure industry standard payment gateway and shipping built into the price before checkout!
Their e-commerce website took their business to a whole new level. That online store is long gone, as is the winery and brand behind it, swallowed by the inevitable march of big businss aquiring attractive smaller assets. A success story for owners that were aging out of the industry.

Fast forward 20 years and the last e-commerce website we built was a Shopify one for a client. It was fully integrated within the Shopify platform, meaning all of the payments are handled via their payment gateway. For the user it is seamless. Shipping options calculated prior to check out. Plenty of policy documents regarding shipping, returns, data handling, privacy. The whole website was built on the Shopify platform and built around the ability to sell products globally. The next phase of the project was the integration of their inventory management system and the connection of their internal workflow processes.

We can offer a variety of solutions to get your online shop operational. You can choose to go down the now industry standard, and trusted, Shopify route, which is a faster way to get your shop making sales as there are also built in marketing options and the ability to plug into the Shopify promotional ecosystem. The other option is that we can build you a bespoke e-commerce store where more of the process and transactions happen on your website and go through your own payment gateway, meaning you save on Shopify transaction fees and monthly subscription.

Shopify 12V

This option starts at NZD$3750 (ex. GST). Start your Shopify journey with a simple template from their library, or upgrade to one of their pro templates with a view to scale quickly. We will align the store to your branding, adjust and upload all necessary legal documents, create an engaging user experience on the store and pre load your shop with 5 of your products to get you started. Shopify 24V

You can start at the 12V and upgrade to this level, or jump straight into the build here. At this layer of investment we are building you category sections, or product hubs, and pre loading 35 products to get you underway and selling immediately with a well formed store, complete with all of the necessary legal documents you'll need to have. Your Shopify site will already be branded if you started with the 12V Pack, or we can customise the template to reflect your branding if you are starting with the 24V Pack. You can also start to tell you own story (important for search and AI recommnedations) with an About Us section, complete with videos if you have them, & contact pages.

Shopify Power Grid

This is the place to start for a serious Online Business that aims to dominate a segment with an engaged Shopify website. Explore and utilise the enhanced features of the Shopify Pro Template options. We will guide you in selecting the right template for your desired outcome. The cost of the template is included in this pack.
